Meet the Youngblood Family

Brylee Youngblood entered this world on February 27, 2010, at 25 weeks gestation or four months premature. She weighed only 1 lb., 11 oz.  Severe prematurity and a complicated delivery resulted in a grade IV bleed on both sides of her brain, which caused hydrocephalus.

We were introduced to Dr. Peter Boehm and his staff while Brylee was still in the NICU. Dr. Boehm performed three surgeries on Brylee during her 84-day stay at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger.

Thanks to the unbelievable care and knowledge of the doctors and staff at the Boehm Birth Defects Center, our daughter is a healthy girl. Without a place like the Birth Defects Center, children with hydrocephalus would not have much chance at a healthy, normal life.

For the Boehm Birth Defect Center, its doctors, and its staff: WE ARE TRULY THANKFUL!!!!
